Pablo Aguilo
Pablo Aguiló has been fishing all his life. He started Fly Fishing in his early 20s Trout fishing in Patagonia and since that time he never stopped, he has been in the fishing and hunting industry for more than 20 years. Pablo had been fishing in Argentina for Dorado, Trout and Sea Run Brown Trout. He had fished in different rivers in different states all around the country. And also, he has been traveling to other countries like Chile, Brazil, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Cuba, Mexico, USA, Alaska, Tanzania and Mongolia, among others for extraordinary fishing adventures. His expertise around the world visiting different lodges and fisheries is one of the biggest assets for all our guests and clients.
Juan Aguilo
Juan Aguilo in his life has been mostly hunting for Perdiz and fishing for Wolf Fish in the farm where he was born with his family. Then because of his passion and talent for the photos and videos, he got in charge of all the media for Pointer Outfitters. Since we started in the business, Juan had been traveling different destinations fot footage for our department of Fly Fishing at Pointer Outfitters, also fly fishing himself as much as he could. He is available to advise and suggest to all our guests regarding our different products.
Jake Schoolfield
Jake Schoolfield was born and raised in Wilmington, NC where his father was a marine biologist and his mother worked as a physical therapist at the local hospital. His father had him catching red drum before he can remember. This is where his love for the ocean started to develop. Jake has been fishing around the cape fear coast for most of his life. The passion he has for exploring new fisheries and meeting new people is what drove him to head out to the last frontier: Alaska, to guide for salmon and trout fishing.
Benjamin Gerloff
Benjamin Gerloff, lives in Colorado, and on summer time he guides all season in the local rivers, he has been part of Pointer Outfitters staff for many years, and he has been fishing different rivers in Patagonia. He has fished all over North America (almost every major body of trout water in the Western United States, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida, California and more), Germany, Argentina and even the Czech Republic.
Federico Silva
Federico Silva was born in a small town in the province of Córdoba - Argentina, and had been hunting and fishing all his life. He had been in the hunting and fishing industry working in two very well known companies in which one he had spent most of his time, that is Pointer Outfitters, his area of expertise focus on Golden Dorado and Trout fishing in Argentina. He is normally taking care of most of our guests and running the operations related to Golden Dorado and randomly going and helping on the Trout fishing lodges. He has been in charge of the San Javier Lodge for more than five years, running the whole operation, organizing fishing guides teams and also doing researchs for our recent operation in El Maiten Lodge.
Rell Tipton
Rell Tipton is a lawyer that has been part of Pointer Outfitters for Many Years, Rell background is a lot of fishing every year in Mexico for Permit and also does a lot of speckled trout and redfish in the coast of Texas. He travels all around the world fishing for different species, he has been to Bolivia, Brazil, Nicaragua, Cuba, Central USA, Alaska and different parts of the world. He's one of our Senior Guides and his reputation knowledge about fishing is very important for our guests.
Martin Ruiz
Martin started fly fishing at age 13. Fly tying and fly cast instructor Professional fly fishing guide and owner of Peacock Fly Anglers (Fly Shop). From his profession, Senior Technician in Tourism, guides, coordinates groups and organizes Fly Fishing trips to national and international destinations for more than 18 years. He has guided and coordinated groups of fishermen in destinations such as: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, Venezuela, Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, United States, Mexico, Bahamas, Cuba, Canada, Christmas Island among others. Currently from Pointer Fly Fishing provides a comprehensive service in the world of fly fishing.
Gerardo Gleria
He was born and raised in Jesús María, began fishing as a child and In his 20s he started fly fishing for trout in the rivers of Córdoba and Patagonia. His passion is Dorado fishing and this led him to become a Dorados fishing guide and travel coordinator in different destinations. In addition, he serves as a Fly Cast and Fly Tying instructor.
